SPINE CARE
Complete care for a healthy and strong spine
SPINE CARE
Advanced solutions for a healthy, flexible, and pain-free spine
Spine care focuses on the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of conditions affecting the spinal column, including discs, nerves, and supporting muscles. Common issues such as disc bulge, herniation, spondylosis, and inflammatory disorders can cause pain, stiffness, and reduced mobility. With a combination of advanced diagnostics, physiotherapy, medications, and minimally invasive procedures, spine care aims to relieve pain, restore function, and improve posture. Early intervention, regular exercise, and proper ergonomics are essential to maintain spinal health and enhance overall quality of life.
SPINE CARE
Expert care for spine conditions including disc bulge, prolapse, herniation, spondylosis, and spondylitis, focusing on pain relief, mobility, and long-term spinal health.
DISC BULGE
Disc bulge occurs when a spinal disc protrudes beyond its normal boundary. This condition is often painless but it can compress nerves leading to pain and other symptoms . These are most commonly found in the lumbar(lower back) region and cervical (neck) region.
DISC PROLAPSE
A disc prolapse also known as slipped disc , occurs when the soft innercore material protrudes out prominently compressing nerves.
DISC HERNIATION
Disc herniation occurs when Rupture of disc with the nucleus pushes outward and compresses nearby nerves.
SPONDYLOSIS
Spondylosis refers to degenerative changes in the spine and in the intervertebral discs. The common sites of spondylosis are cervical, thoracic and lumbar regions. It can also be multilevel spondylosis affecting multiple vertebrae in the spine .
SPONDYLITIS
Spondylitis refers to inflammation of the vertebrae (spinal bones), leading to pain, stiffness, and reduced mobility. It commonly affects the neck (cervical spondylitis) or lower back (lumbar region).
DISC BULGE
Disc bulge occurs when a spinal disc protrudes beyond its normal boundary. This condition is often painless but it can compress nerves leading to pain and other symptoms . These are most commonly found in the lumbar(lower back) region and cervical (neck) region.
Symptoms:
- Localised pain in the back or neck which may radiate to arms or legs.
- Muscle spasm in the back
- Limited range of movements .
Disc bulge is a progressive condition where initially disc gets dehydrated later leading to disc bulge ,if its not treated at this condition it leads to further complications .Hence, ayurveda focuses treatment at this level to avoid progression to next stage by panchakarma procedures like vasti ,kati vasti and certain oral medications .
DISC PROLAPSE
A disc prolapse also known as slipped disc , occurs when the soft innercore material protrudes out prominently compressing nerves.
Symptoms:
- Numbness,tingling in the extremities
- Severe low back pain or neck pain with radiation
- Stiffness and reduced movements
DISC HERNIATION
Disc herniation occurs when Rupture of disc with the nucleus pushes outward and compresses nearby nerves.
Symptoms:
- Localized back or neck pain radiating to legs or arms
- Tingling and numbness
- Muscle weakness
- Restricted moveme
SPONDYLOSIS
Spondylosis refers to degenerative changes in the spine and in the intervertebral discs. The common sites of spondylosis are cervical, thoracic and lumbar regions. It can also be multilevel spondylosis affecting multiple vertebrae in the spine .
Symptoms:
- Chronic pain
- Stiffness
- Reduced mobility
SPONDYLITIS
Spondylitis refers to inflammation of the vertebrae (spinal bones), leading to pain, stiffness, and reduced mobility. It commonly affects the neck (cervical spondylitis) or lower back (lumbar region).
Symptoms:
- Neck or back pain
- Stiffness, especially in the morning
- Restricted movement
- Radiating pain to shoulders, arms, or legs
- Muscle spasm and heaviness
In Ayurveda, spondylitis can be correlated with Vata Vyadhi and conditions like Greeva Stambha (neck stiffness) or Katigraha (low back stiffness), primarily due to aggravated Vata dosha affecting bones and joints. The goal is to reduce pain, improve mobility, and nourish spine tissues- External Therapies -Abhyanga- medicated oil massage (Ksheerabala, Mahanarayana taila)Swedana- fomentation to relieve stiffness,Greeva Basti / Kati Basti-localized oil pooling for spine support,Patra Pinda Sweda (Elakizhi)- reduces pain and inflammation
